Move over beef patty, there is a new burger in town. It’s time to discover this flavor-packed ground chicken patty loaded with herbs and is great served on a plate or bun.
What you’ll need:
- 1 lb. ground chicken
- 1 ½ cups sourdough bread (processed in a food processor to create soft breadcrumbs)
- ½ of a medium sweet onion (processed in a food processor)
- 1 medium to small carrot (processed in a food processor)
- 2 cloves of garlic
- ½ tsp. Celtic sea salt
- ½ tsp. Thyme
- ½ tsp. Basil
- Fresh ground pepper
*Makes about 8 chicken patties
Directions:
- Mix all of your ingredients in a large bowl and form into hamburger shaped patties
- Light up your grill and clean off the grates from previous cooking. You may want to grease your grates since chicken tends to stick on the grill.
- You’ll want to cook the patties until they are brown on both sides (about 10 minutes)
- If you want your patties to cook faster, you can close the lid of the grill to create an “oven-like” effect
Looking for little spice, throw in some cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes -Bam!
Enjoy!
