Interested in making naturally fermented sauerkraut?

This is a hands on class.

This free event at the Harrison Township Library will start with a demonstration of how to make fermented sauerkraut.  See how easy it is to make.  Each registered person will then make their own pint of sauerkraut to take home.  You will then be able to watch the fermentation process yourself.  Some people like to ferment it for only several days while other like to wait for at least six weeks before consuming.  The beauty of home fermenting is you can decide what stage the flavor is best for you.

When you first start to eat fermented foods always start with a small at each meal.  By doing this, it will help you digest your food, make the nutrients more available and contribute to detoxify your system.  Fermented foods are some powerful healing food that only cost a small amount to make.

This is a very popular class so register early there will be a limited number of spots available.  Renee Pokoj will demo and then coach how to make your own sauerkraut.  She will have some kraut available for tasting.  Everyone will leave with a jar of sauerkraut.
